Adrian Lythgoe – Worsley

Adrian Lythgoe

I am a retired teacher and school leader who held a number of senior management positions in schools over the last twenty years. This included over fifteen years as a headteacher and associate headteacher at two secondary schools in East Lancashire.

I have a considerable amount of experience in research initially and many years ago as a biochemist but more recently in policy analysis and the formation of professional identities which are ongoing interests.

I was elected in May 2015 to represent Worsley ward in Haslingden and am currently:

  • a member of the licensing committee
  • a member of the O and S committee
  • on the board of Rossendale Leisure Trust
  • a member of Lancashire Police and Crime Panel

I hope to effectively represent the views of Haslingden residents and will endeavour to ensure that the council is accountable to local people and provides a good quality of service despite all the current constraints due to funding from central government.

Councillor surgeries are held every 1st Saturday of the month (except August) at First Choice Credit Union offices, 10 Manchester Road, Haslingden between 10 and 11am.
